How to read a 2024 spell card

Every spell in the 2024 rules (SRD 5.2.1) uses the same short block, and that block is what a spell card puts on the table. Level runs from 0 (cantrips, cast at will) to 9. Casting Time is usually an action, a Bonus Action or a Reaction. Range is how far away the target can be.

Components are V (verbal), S (somatic) and M (material); a material that lists a cost must actually be on hand. Duration says how long the effect lasts. Concentration means it ends early if you cast another Concentration spell, become Incapacitated or die, or fail the Constitution save after taking damage. A spell with the Ritual tag can be cast without a spell slot if you have it prepared and take 10 extra minutes.

Spellsheaf prints all 339 SRD 5.2.1 spells as standard (63 × 88 mm) or large cards on Letter or A4.

Questions

How many spell cards fit on a page?

Nine standard 63 × 88 mm cards per Letter or A4 sheet, or four large 89 × 127 mm cards. Cut marks are on by default so you can trim them cleanly.

What if a spell's text is too long for one card?

Spellsheaf flags long spells on standard cards. Switch to Large and every SRD spell fits on a single card.

Can I save a deck?

Your deck saves on this device, and Share makes a link that rebuilds the same deck, paper and card size anywhere.

Are these the 2024 versions of the spells?

Yes. The text comes from SRD 5.2.1, the 2024 rules, via the open 5e-bits/5e-database project.
